In Dark Souls every weapon can be the best if you like it. You may already be part of his covenant which is why you don't have the option anymore.Īs for weapons, use whatever you like. But if you answered his original question with a "yes" then you should be able to buy miracles from him. You should look up Petrus' story guide if you have questions about that. I'm guessing that's the case, if you were in Sen's, getting back would just mean dying and going back to the blacksmith bonfire and heading to undead parish and down the elevator. When you do, you'll find out exactly why you shouldn't leave and go back to firelink. If you're light on upgrade materials, remember that you can buy them from blacksmiths.Īre you in sen's fortress or anor londo? if you're in anor londo, finish the area. Sticking with your Mace and upgrading it can make it a great weapon all game though. I think your Drake Sword has outlived its usefulness by now, so you should probably start considering looking into other weapons. The Darkmoon covenant is pretty much even more off the beaten path and offers one very strong offensive miracle, as well as being related to another offensive miracle. The Warrior of Sunlight covenant is a bit off the beaten path and offers up to three offensive miracles, one of which is a pretty decent one received just for joining. Most offensive miracles (of which there aren't a lot) come from covenants or covenant-related stuff.

Rhea can sell you one offensive miracle, but that's generally only something you'd get later in the game and even then it has quite a limited number of casts. They are pretty much strictly defensive or utility spells though. Petrus sells miracles in Firelink, though I think you must join the Way of White at least once (or start in it, as some classes do).
